Notes To the Kommunity:

Faith or Fear
Terri McGinnity gave a wonderful Study Talk on TK22, and one of the points she made was that we can choose to live in FEAR or in FAITH. Articles on TV, radio, newspapers and even the Internet are filled with a lot of negative news based on fear. We can choose to get our news from Christian (FAITH based) sources and find out there are a lot of good, positive things happening worldwide.

Backyard Jam - Saturday, June 21st from 10-noon- Coots home - 1103 Redbud Ct, Arl. 76012

If you like to play guitar or any other instrument, sing or just listen, you're welcome to come to the backyard jam. Koinonia is a great place for beginner guitarists to play since most of the songs only require knowing a few basic chords.

TK-23
T.J. LaLonde (Lay Leader) is well on his way to having the Team assembled for TK-23 (Oct. 24-26, 2008). Being on Team requires a high level of commitment. There are planning meetings to attend, a fee to be paid, maybe work to be missed on Friday or Saturday, and little sleep (along with lots of work) on the Weekend itself. But the rewards are wonderful! Dates for the Team meetings for TK-23 will be announced soon. If you have never served on Team, or haven’t done so for a while, contact T.J. or the Communication Coordinator, Gary Coots if you are interested in serving.

Is there someone you would like to sponsor for TK-23?

By sponsoring a participant to a TK weekend, you should be willing to answer their questions. It might also involve helping them with arrangements such as locating a baby sitter for their children, caring for their pets, or finding transportation to and from the camp. It is a perfect opportunity for you, as sponsor, to extend grace to another of God’s children. They will always remember that you made it possible for them to attend.

I heard a song this afternoon; I think it was called "Excuses." The gist of the song was: if you're not going to church regularly, you usually have an excuse ... and who gives those excuses to us? The Devil. We all get into slumps and make "excuses" but we need to try not to fall into the Devil's snare. You need the fellowship, teaching, and the coming together as God's children to keep on track. You also need to read the Bible and, if at all possible, join a Bible study/fellowship/share group. KEEP THE DEVIL AWAY. Let me know if I can help you find a Bible study or a small group meeting. You will be pleasantly surprised at how much better you will feel about everything!
God Bless all of You,
